A Piece of LUSHBLUSH21 in... December

Hey Everyone :)

I like...
Christmas time. Its my favourite time of year. Its great shopping, seeing the lights, spending time with family, presents, visiting family, spending time with loved ones, putting up the christmas tree and all the decorations and looking at all the houses lit up!

I don't like...
spending loads of money... money is spent on cards and presents and I don't have loads of money to go out drinking and out for meals with friends, and all the presents. I also hate thinking about all the people out there alone for christmas.

I want you to know...
That I wish everyone a merry christmas and 2010 blogging will be much more frequent and better! I will have my own camera and laptop to work from. YAY!

I've planned...
a christmas dinner for me and my girlfriends to have dinner and exchange secret santa gifts. I have also planned for my boyfriends family to come to my house christmas eve for dinner and some socialising. Also I have planned to relax and enjoy christmas day. And I am currently thinking up some new years resolutions that I can stick to!

I want to say to someone special...
I love you very much and I hope you enjoy christmas with your nearest and dearest for many years to come. Love you bean xoxo

FOTD + Update

Hey Everyone :)

I just read on cheryl's blog that MAC have a new VIVA GLAM line coming out in February with CIndy Lauper and Lady Gaga!! How amazing is that? The colours on the promo ad are gorgeous... I can't wait to see the full collection. I saw a gorgeous earring set in Accessorize that I hope to get on tuesday... it had little pearl studs, pink rose studs and another pair of studs but I so can't remember what they were! Also, I saw my brother perform on stage in Hairspray the musical. Here in Ireland Transition Year is a "doss" year that gives students amazing opportunity to do and try things they would never do before. Like my brother for example, is a sports fanatic, he is football mad and I never thought he'd be on stage. He was in the black chorus. He was brilliant!
This is a picture of the cast... my brother is the DJ on the right side of the stage in the green stripe jumper!

Movie Review: Law Abiding Citizen

Hey Everyone :)

Its movie review time!! So I saw Law Abiding Citizen on Monday 30th November. I went to see it with my boyfriend on monday night. In the first five minutes it was gross and I wanted to leave. But I didnt. Dramatic I know but it is horrible! A lot of parts of the movie are gruesome but its a brilliant movie. I LOVED it. The storyline is sad but its based on what is really happening within corrupt law inforcement. I would recommend for everyone to go see it! The special effects are incredible, the scenes and overall make up of the movie is brilliant!

SPOILER: Gerard Butler gets naked and you get to see his hot toned ass, and his hot abs!! Oh Baby!!

The X Factor: Live Show 9

Hey Everyone :)

Its the SEMI-FINAL!! Its MICHAEL JACKSON/RANDOM week. OMG so nerve wracking! Its down to four acts now. Each act has to perform 2 songs. In the first round they have to sing a Michael Jackson song. In round 2 they get to sing a song of there choice.
So here we go... Round 1:
Olly Murs is first up tonight singing Can You Feel It. He started off kind of dodgy with the low singing, but he is singing amazingly. He pulled everything out of the bag tonight. This is make or break point. He, in my opinion, is definately in the final next week! Louis said he's amazing and did very well, Dannii said that was fantastic and he has the whole package, Cheryl said hes an entertainer and hopes he's in the final, Simon said he was confident and hes got the presence of a star.
Joe McElderry is singing She's Out Of My Life. He is such an amzing singer, his voice will definately carry him far, if he doesnt win he would definately get a contract. He's in the final, he's amazing. Louis said he's the most consistant in the comp, Dannii said he clocked up a superb performance, Simon said he's getting better and better and its one of the best versions of that song hes ever heard, Cheryl said it was pationate and emotional and he's amazing and she's very proud.

Stacey Soloman is singing The Way You Make Me Feel. Uh-Oh she started off VERY weak!! She should've got a better song! She could be gone this week :( NOOOOOOOOO!! She did a great performance though, she walked along chairs. Louis said he wasnt crazy about the song, Cheryl thought it was fantastic and shes a yummy mummy and she enjoyed it, Simon said it wasnt her and gimmicky and silly. Dannii said they did everything the judges wanted and shes explaining the movement and the change.

Danyl Johnson up last in Round 1 singing Man In The Mirror. That song is one of MJ's most famous and I don't think he did it justice. Dannii and Louis didnt really like it they sais the background was too distracting. Cheryl liked it and Simon said he was amazing.

Round 2:

Olly Murs singing We Can Work It Out by Stevie Wonder. He is amazing. He's got the vocals and he deserves a place in the final. He's missing his twin brothers wedding to be in the show tonight. Louis doesnt know if he'll get into the final, Cheryl and Dannii think hes great and want people to vote for him and Simon said he deserves to be in the final.

Joe McElderry singing Open Arms by Journey. He is amazing, he WILL be in the final, no doubt!! He is truelly amazing. He has such an easy listening voice. He will have a number one with his first song release. Dannii said he has got to be in the final. Simon said Cheryl made the right song choice and he is amazing, and he deserves to be in the final. And Cheryl said he is amazing and he is consistant. And Simon offered Joe's nan a job on noe of his shows haha.

Stacey Soloman singing Somewhere from West Side Story. She definately sounds much better in Round 2. She is "The Voice". Cheryl said she got goosebumps, Louis loved it, Simon said she's back in the game, Dannii said she's amazing and her performance was world class.
Danyl Johnson singing I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston. I just don't think he has a very listenable voice. Louis said he is amazing and has a great voice and he wants people to vote. Dannii said it was good but she didnt like it as much as round 1, Cheryl said hes shaking but liked it. Simon said he hasnt had fare criticism and deserves a place in the final. I just think he's 100% FAKE!!! And he's got a WEIRD wrinkly smile!
This brings me back to when Diana Vickers my favourite of 2008's X Factor was voted off in last years Semi-Final. Wouldn't it be lousy if Olly and Stacey were in the bottom 2? I think it could be Stacey and Danyl. In either case I really want Stacey to make it to the final!

Hey Everyone :)

I just got back from shopping with my mom and unfortunately I won't be able to do a haul until after christmas because everything I got is for christmas day. I got make-up and perfumes and such.

But I'm going to do a christmas wish list of all the beauty things I want, and I will do another post on all the clothing I want. So here we go...
Maybelline Pulse Perfection Mascara - I've been wanting to try this since I first saw it come out. It's different because it vibrates and I'd love to see what its like compared to other mascaras.
MAC Lipstick in Creme De Nude - I don't have any MAC products (yet!) and a lot of bloggers and YT guru's like and use this lipstick so I want to try it for myself, plus it seems the best nude lipstick out there.
Benefit Celebutante - I love this little set. It has all the benefit goodies I want in miniture. Its great. It has: 2 Full-Finish Lipsticks in Lady's Choice and No Competition.
2 Velvet Eyeshadows in Leggy and Dandy Brandy.
Fluff Shadow/Talent Brush.
Dallas Bronzer.
High Beam.
Lip Gloss in I'm With The Band.

Miss Dior Cherie Perfume - I love this perfume, it smells lovely and the bottle is so so cute. It has a bow and pink fragrance... so girly.
Anna Sui Flite of Fancie Perfume - I love this perfume, it smells kind of strong but its nice, also it has a peacock, which reminds me of my nan who passed away almost 2 years ago.

Upcoming Celeb Look: Lucie Jones

Hey Everyone :)

My next upcoming celeb look is Lucie Jones. She was my favourite contestant on The X Factor and I was truelly gutted when she got voted off! I hope she goes on to do some amazing things.

When she started the show she had light brown hair and then during the make-overs she got dark brown hair and extensions. Its gorgeous and really suits her.

The make-up looks she wore during her time on the show were gorgeous. So I plan to re-create all three of these looks. They are kind of similar but they are slightly different.

The X Factor: Live Show 8

Hey Everyone :)

This week was ELTON JOHN/TAKE THAT week. Each contestant had to sing one of Elton John's songs and one of Take That's songs. They began with Take That. So starting off...

Round 1, Take That:

Danyl Johnson sang Relight My Fire. It was his chance to prove he could be an all round performer and he did a shocking job, I don't care what the judges said because he looked camp, stupid, like a kid hopping around to some dance music... it was totally daft. I know I don't like him but it was a load of cr*p! He was VERY cocky AGAIN at the end of the song.

Lloyd Daniels was up next singing Million Love Songs. His voice was partly weak and he didnt seem confident singing the high parts of the song. He was quite weak for the first song.

Olly Murs was up next with a ballad, he sang Love Ain't Here Anymore. He was great and sang it well. It showed a new side of Olly, he didnt do any quirky dancing it was just all raw and fresh, all singing.

Joe McElderry up singing his version of Could It Be Magic. He was amazing and definatlely was king of the show again this week. He had all 4 judges standing to applaud him.

Stacey Solomon was last up this round singing Rule The World. She did an amzing performance, dang her heart out and she had an amzing stage presence.

Round 2, Elton John:

Lloyd Daniels was first up in round 1 singing I'm Still Standing. I thought it was brilliant. He was kind of smuggly rubbing it in Louis (Walsh) face that he was still there despite the bad comments.

Danyl Johnson was second up going back to ballads singing Your Song. He still sounds too nazzaled to be a proper singer. I don't know why nobody else gets it! I think he should be gone before the finals. His performance was ok.

Olly Murs did his version of Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting). It was lively and upbeat. It was very well done. He was happy and moving around, sang the song very well.

Joe McElderry stole the show again this round with Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word. He sang this to Cheryl during the Judge's house audition process. It was amazingly done. He sounded 100,000 times better than when he first started on the show. His vocals are amazing.

Stacey Solomon was last up again this round singing Something About The Way You Look Tonight. This was sang beautifully by Stacey. She began laying on a piano in a gorgeous pink dress and then moved onto the front of the stage. She sang it well. Stacey deserves to be in the final.

On the results show to sing is Alicia Keys and Rihanna.

Celeb of the Week: Ke$ha (25/11/09 - 02/12/09)

Hey Everyone :)

This weeks celeb of the week is Kesha! For those who don't know who Kesha is, she is a new american singer on the scene. She has just recently released Tik Tok. It's a really cool song, and has a great beat to it! She's really pretty and punk looking. I hope she does great in the music industry and can't wait to hear what she comes out with next!

I can't wait for her album Animal to be released.

She recently just performed in London.

I posted a link to her YouTube video. Go check it out (click on the name of the song above!)

She's got a quirky punk type style and has blonde curly fizzy kind of hair (as you can see!).

Lots of Love xoxo

Team Jacob!!

Hey Everyone :)

I saw New Moon on monday with a bunch of my friends and it was really good. I didn't read the books but I still love the movies. Kirsten Stewart looked really pretty, compared to her times of looking a bit rough! And OMG Edward Cullen topless walking into the sunlight was NOT hot! He is so not good looking! He's not too bad when he's tanned and with clothed on but apart from that... GROSS!

I am team JACOB all the way! He's definately got the body! And he's tanned and gorgeous! As he says himself in the movie... He's beautiful! Haha... I couldn't stop laughing. If I was Bella I would chose being a vampire rather than being with an off the handle werewolf... but I still felt bad for jacob... why couldn't a nice tanned girl come into it for him?

The movie was very well done, I thought Dakota Fanning would have a bigger role but she didn't. She played the part well. It was very sad at times, very good and the special effects were amazing!!

What did you think of the movie?

The X Factor: Live Show 7

Hey Everyone :)

This week theres only 6 contestants left and its GEORGE MICHAEL/WHAM week! This should be a good week for the contestants... change things up a bit from what they'd know and be comfortable with.

Lloyd Daniels is singing Faith. He did very well, its a pop week and he fits well with it, his vocals are very good and this week was very goo for him. He got a hair cut! Dannii said he was fantastic this week. Louis said he got hair cut and new image but doesnt like the vocals. Simon said that wasn't bad at all and he looks a lot better and more believable. He's stepped up in a week. Cheryl said he's turning into a little man and his best comfortble performance.

Stacey Soloman is second up tonight singing I Can't Make You Love Me. She was amazing and she hit every note perfect. Louis said she has star quality, Cheryl said she can win she just has to believe and Simon said she's genuinely nice and not as good as last week, Dannii said she had such an elegant performance.

John and Edward singing I'm Your Man. Tha backing vocals were a bit strange and as usual they rappped, Dannii won't be too happy. They had "choose life" t-shirts on this week. They didnt really do much singing this week, I'm not sure how the judges will react... Dannii's confused singing in tune but rapping out of time, Simon doesn't like the confusion of the singing dancing and rapping all at once, Louis loves it as usual, I think it was about time that Edward got a chance to talk after the performance.

Danyl Johnson, Mr sing a long note at the end of every performance AND on the final 12 charity single, singing Careless Whisper. I don't like him at all, he sings like one big nasal fool. Does nobody else hear it? He doesnt perform he just does ballads, even ballad singers like Michael Buble sing properly and dance and move around. Dannii thinks Simon chose the right song and the song was sung perfectly. Louis thinks he's trying too hard. Cheryl said parts were flat and singing was exposed.

Olly Murs is up now singing Fast Love. He's going to b more sexy and current... according to him. He did a really good job this week. He sounded more up to date. Dannii said he was polished and rocked the audience, Louis said he loved everything about it, Cheryl liked it and Simon said he enoyed it and it was very good, I agree.

Joe McElderry is singing Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me. He's definately got the voice to win the competition. Cherly is behind him all the way because there from the same area. He sang that really well. All t judges clapped standing up this week. Dannii said that was exceptional and honesty to his voice, Louis said best performance of the night and Cheryl broke the rules?!, Cheryl said he was amazing and stole the show, Simon said he nailed the song.

Thats it for tonights performance. Who's going to go?

UPDATE: About time.... John and Edward have left the X Factor building... at least now we can get on with the real contestants!!

Cork Floods of 2009

Hey Everyone :)

Nothing to do with beauty but I just wanted to post this because it's whats happening in my city at the mo. Cork city is full of floods!

Basically Thursday 19th November it was lashing rain all day. It was the worst rain weather in ages, and it was cold and windy. Then a warning came up in college that all classes were cancelled after 4pm because of the weather and difficulty of travel. I was finished at 2 so headed home and on the way home found out that one of the main roads was closed. I took the bypass home anyway and when I got home found out that all the main roads heading into the city were closed due to floods. The ESB were forced to open the floodgates or the dam would've blown open anyway due to pressure. So the city flooded. All of washington street (by the courthouse), western road (by University College Cork), Grand Parade (by Father Matthew Park and Soho pub), and the Mercy hospital A&E was closed due to a wall collapsing from the floods.

Mercy Hospital Staff
Grand Parade
Kingsley Hotel, Carrigrohane Road
On a brighter note all UCC students got the week off due to water damage and flooding. But on a bad note they have to make up the week they are going to miss in december the week they were due to finish for the holidays. So my boyfriend is happy he has the week off but not that he's got to make it up after! Unfortunately my college is still open next week!

Hey Everyone :)

So I've been out looking around in the shops and have spotted some lovely buys.

Each of these are so so cute. I love them all.
The Love keychain is €8
"I Love You" necklace is €8.50
Bow and clock necklace is €10
Bow and clock earrings are €8.50
In Boots there are some lovely gift sets, new make-up from bourjois and there is a new boots in Cork city, it is a large one. I was in there on there first day of opening and I love it. It has so many amazing new things, and the layout is great! :)

Hey Everyone :)

I'm so so sorry I haven't done many very interesting or beauty related posts recently... I've been SUPER busy with college assignments, dying my hair blonde which I will blog about and my eye is still swollen so I had to go to the doctor AGAIN!

I love the look Pixie Lott has in the start of her music video Cry Me Out! I start work experience in 2 weeks for 2 weeks and then I'm finished college for the holidays... YAY! I'm so tired these days...it's very annoying...long college days at the start of the week.

And I'm out job hunting so i can buy lots of lovely things, I go to college near all the major shops and on my breaks we always head to walk around the shops and I see lots of nice things that I'd love to buy!

I am LOVING this look on Pixie Lott! I'm thinking of wearing something similar sunday night when I go out! Black shiny leggings, high heels, sequin top and blazer!! I'll post up some pics!

I'll have a new post up soon on a TAG about 7 black things in my room!! It was a toughy! Any posts that anyone wants done or any ideas don't hesitate to ask or suggest :)

The X Factor: Live Show 6 Results

Hey Everyone :)

Lloyd or Jamie? Who's to go?

I said yesterday that Jamies performance was weak last night and my boyfriend was addament that Lloyd was gone. But who's voted off this week?... Jamie "Afro" Archer!

Jamie was a good performer and had the rock factor but after his weak performance he's gone. I think with the X Factor one weak show could mean the end and that's exactly what happened. He will go on to do some great things but winning the X Factor was not it! I think Lloyd did an amazing sing-off song, he really showed he could sing and I think he'll go far despite being in the bottow two twice.

Good Luck in the Future Jamie Afro!

Who's left... Stacey, Olly, Danyl, Joe, Lloyd and John and Edward. Also the group song tonight was amazing with surprise performance from 2 of Queen's members with the 7 contestants. And the Final 12 song for charity (Great Ormond Street Hospital) is amazing and think it will be number one... those who can't buy it should download it... or listen to it on YouTube. Its amazing. I love Lucie and Stacey's parts! :)

Also Kim from How Clean is Your House? is on the show! How will she get on in the jungle?

The X Factor: Live Show 6

Hey Everyone :)

It's this time of week again! This week is QUEEN week. Each of the 7 contestants has to sing a Queen song!

At the beginning of the week Simon was asked to explain himself on the show because of Lucie being voted off last week... he said Sting said that it was a karaoke show and Simon invited him on the show! The contestants met 2 Queen members, Brian and Roger, and sang there song choice of the week to them.

Jamie "Afro" Archer was first on the stage tonight, he sang Radio Ga Ga. He was an entertainer tonight more than a singer. This was very rocky again this week but he wasn't up to scratch. Louis said he's made himself vulnerable and Cheryl said she doesn't like his hair and glad he's changed his jeans!

Lloyd Daniel is the favourite to go this week according to the papers and gossip, may have changed many minds out there because he really pulled up his socks and went for it this week. He performed Crazy Little Thing Called Love. He sang better this week than ever before. Dannii and Louis both agreed that it was a good performance, Simon said he was like a puppy at the grand prix but he liked it. And Cheryl said he's really confident this week and you could see it in the performance. He did AMAZING this week! He can sing!

Olly Murs, Mr quirky dancer himself, sang Don't Stop Me Now. He broke his baby finger during the week and the judges feared it would make his performance weak but he went out there without the cast on and danced his little feet off. He did a good performance, he could have done a better job though because the song wasn't up to the standard to his voice, as in he didn't show his full ability. His quirky dances never get old, unlike 'someones' long note singing at the end of EVERY song! All the judges loved it and it was very entertaining. Keep moving those hips!

Joe McElderry has an amazing voice. He sang Somebody To Love. He will definitely get to the final if not win the show. He hit all the notes perfectly. This song is difficult and he really put the Joe stamp on it! Dannii liked it, Louis said the choir helped a bit too much and it was kind of cheating! Simon mocked Louis and went on to say Joe was better last week. Cheryl loved it and said Joe is technically the best on the show! And i missed last week when Cheryl said that Joe was like her little brother.... Aww!

John and Edward sang Under Pressure, the Vanilla Ice version... come on now Mr rule book Louis that's cheating! They did a good performance, there best so far! They sang and rapped. There was no boo's from the audience this week, which the judges liked. Whats with the shiny suits though? And Calvin Harris jumped on stage with a pineapple? WHAT! haha. Random or what!

Stacey Soloman sang I Want To Live Forever. She sounded amazing! Very powerful and her dress was gorgeous. Louis said she was incredible and really had the Diva image going on. Cheryl said her sing was stunning and sang her socks off, Dannii said she's grown into a woman overnight. She went down to Dannii and high-fived her... Aww she's so funny. Performance of the night!

Danyl Johnson sang We Are The Champions. He always sings very nasally, and this week he sounds worse! He did grand though. He is very cheeky though... Dannii said this week was his best ever and he asked her to repeat it! Louis, Cheryl and Simon all said he was good.

On the Xtra Factor Holly Willoughby gave Louis a "Rule Book", it was a fake prop but he left with it haha.

Also, people on the Xtra Factor think Lloyd should go this week and also people aren't liking Stacey! :( Noooooooo... She was my number 2 to win so I hope she makes it the finals! I hope girls everywhere save her! Because I'm in the Republic of Ireland I can't vote! (Hopefully I can audition though!)

And, would John be quiet and let Edward speak! He's very dominating!

Lots of Love xoxo
